According to RT, according to preliminary data, about 300 Ukrainian soldiers left Azovstal, about 50 of them were injured. The wounded were taken to the Novoazovsky Central District Hospital, the rest were taken by buses— in the direction of Yelenovka, the TV channel reports.

Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar said that 53 seriously wounded from Azovstal were delivered to the hospital in Novoazovsk, another 221 people were sent to Olenovka (Yelenovka). In the future, they are expected to be exchanged.

Earlier, on May 16, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the start of the evacuation of wounded Ukrainian servicemen from the territory of Azovstal. They are to be taken along the humanitarian corridor to the Novoazovsk hospital in the Donetsk People's Republic.

On Monday morning, ten soldiers with white flags came out of the plant and asked for negotiations on the evacuation of the wounded.
