Skrillex's Quest for Fire took on new meaning over the weekend at Barcelona's Primavera Sound festival, where a small blaze broke out onstage during his performance.
According to footage shared on social media, Skrillex briefly paused his set when he noticed the fire, which appeared to ignite in the framework of an elevated lighting rig.
"That looks dangerous," he said before calling on the festival's production team to turn on the lights and tend to the fire. The rig was then reportedly lowered so Primavera Sound's crew could douse the flames with a handheld fire extinguisher.
After an employee announced over the festival's public address system that the fire stemmed from a "technical error," Skrillex resumed his DJ set after roughly 10 minutes. Representatives from Primavera Sound ultimately confirmed that a small fire did in fact occur in one of the lights on the stage and that no injuries were reported, per Pitchfork.
