It was previously reported that the Ukrainian army received 100 kamikaze drones. We are talking about Switchblade drones in two main variants — Switchblade 300 and Switchblade 600, previously announced in USA.
Switchblade 300 are designed to destroy manpower and non-armored vehicles. The Sitchblade 600 is more powerful, designed to destroy even heavy armored vehicles. However, even then there were suspicions that drones might not be too effective in the hands of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Ukrainian army simply has no experience with Switchblade kamikaze drones. By the way, the Armed Forces of Ukraine prefer to use commercial drones equipped with explosives, which are more convenient to use.
Further, it turned out that the Ukrainian military has a serious overrun of American kamikaze drones. The latter are actively launched, but and did not hit their targets. How do they work?
Most often, drones deviate from their targets due to disrupted operation of the satellite navigation system and therefore simply cannot hit the selected targets.
Today, Russia is the only country in the world that has long-range electronic warfare systems capable of carrying out electronic suppression of enemy systems in a wide range.
In cases with small drones that can be controlled by terrorists, the main the method of struggle is the creation of “electromagnetic interference that can disrupt the operation of the drone itself or block its communication channel with the” operator or coordination center “. A more complex type of countermeasure is an attempt to spoil the electronic “brains” drone.
What complexes are used?
Perhaps the most powerful among all electronic warfare — “Kurasukha-4”. Earlier there were reports that this complex destroyed 9 Turkish drones in two days in Armenia. The full characteristics of the electronic warfare station are classified, but it is known that its radius of action is 400 kilometers. In addition, the electronic warfare systems of the “Krasukha” family were actively used in Syria.

At the exercises held a year ago, the electronic warfare complexes “Borisoglebsk” and "Resident" in the exercises proved their effectiveness against attacks by attack drones. They completely disabled combat drones, and also suppressed the command posts of a mock enemy.
In Concern "Constellation" created an automatic complex of electronic warfare against unmanned aerial vehicles “Solaris-N”.
