Keys N Krates are entering a new creative era that will see the biggest evolution in their career to-date.
The live electronic act, which bridged the worlds of hip-hop and electronic trap in meteoric fashion over the last decade with tracks like "Dum Dee Dum" and more, are embarking on the album cycle for their upcoming 3rd album, IN:TENSION.
Fittingly, the title's play on words is a harbinger for the group's new creative direction, a vision that more closely aligns with house music. For longtime fans, the switch has somewhat been telegraphed already with recent offerings from the group including "Say You Love Me," "What Girls Do" and "Get Up."
Their new single, "Higher" marks a continuation of the trend with upbeat drums, bright dance piano chords and wooing falsettos. Adding to the swell of angelic atmosphere are a chorus of harmonizing vocals calling to something greater. The euphoric, party-starting atmosphere is underpinned by Keys N Krates' signature 808s like a head-nod to the group's former selves.
