MAZAA and Yami Reunite for Genre-Bending Bass Track, “Twister”

MAZZA has teamed up with fellow Seattle-based producer Yami for "Twister," a haunting and soaring bass track.

The tandem have reunited to produce the dynamic song, an amalgamation of melodic dubstep, trap and Wave music. Singer-songwriter Kate Foster contributes a poignant topline as her vocals pull us in and beautifully contrast the arrangement's intense, genre-bending drops.

Taking a closer listen, the lyricism in "Twister" explores pain, heartbreak and uncertainty, embodying a melancholic undertone while providing a glimmer of hope. It pairs seamlessly with the track's unique and uplifting sound design.

"This experience taught me so much about myself and my love for music," Yami said in a press release. "Through months of collaboration between the three of us, I think we were able to create something very special."
